A buyer who planned to use counterfeit money for fraud encountered a group of robbers who were plotting a robbery. Ultimately, the police uncovered the intricate truth behind this transaction.

The buyer, surnamed Lin, prepared to exchange Tether (USDT) for counterfeit money amounting to 5.27 million Taiwanese dollars, only to be ambushed by a man named Xie, who was a currency trader, and his gang of robbers. Two armed robbers quickly took Lin’s counterfeit money and it seemed that this meticulously planned robbery had been successful. However, what they did not expect was that all the money they took was counterfeit.

Investigation of the Case:
Initially, the police believed that Lin was the victim. However, as the investigation deepened, layers of mystery were uncovered. It was discovered that Xie, the currency trader, was actually a member of the gang of robbers, and Lin was not just a simple victim but a participant planning to defraud the other party with counterfeit money. This case not only involved robbery but also included elements of fraud, making the whole incident even more complex.

In this intertwined drama of fraud and robbery, all individuals involved in the case were eventually apprehended. The Taipei District Prosecutors Office charged the man surnamed Liao, who planned the robbery, and his gang of 7 members with robbery. At the same time, Lin and the man surnamed Luo behind him were charged with fraud.
