Pirated Curve App Successfully Infiltrates Apple Store Surges to Top 100 on Global Financial Rankings
Previously, there have been Indian citizens who counterfeited the Pro version of the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, and now there are people on the chain who want to counterfeit the coin redemption platform Curve Finance. Recently, a fake Curve Finance App has become popular on the Apple Store, even occupying the Top 100 in the financial App rankings in Europe, the Americas, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, and other places. However, many users have warned others in the App Store message board: this is a scam. Currently, Curve Finance officials are also advising users not to download this counterfeit Curve.
This is not the first time that a counterfeit Curve Finance App has appeared on Apple’s App Store. Curve Finance officials previously warned community users to “beware of scams” on 2/14 this year and stated that there is no official Curve App on the Apple Store. The previous counterfeit Curve was developed by a company called “MK Technology Co. Ltd” and appeared with a rating of 4.6 stars, claiming to be a powerful loan management App.
This time, the counterfeit Curve is named “Curve defi v3” and is developed by “Tao Duong Van,” suspected to be a Vietnamese developer. The counterfeit Curve claims to provide services such as token exchange and liquidity staking, and even claims to have “30 million users worldwide,” attempting to deceive and lure users into downloading and using it. However, from the comments section, it can be seen that all of them are “scam” or “hacker” one-star reviews.

The introduction of the counterfeit Curve is about Tetris, and there are still users being deceived
Although the text description of the counterfeit Curve is very rough and obviously does not match the actual use of DeFi, many users still fall for it. The counterfeit Curve even claims: “Curve defi v3 is a great App! Arrange the blocks in a row and clear them!” This description is exactly the same as Tetris, but some people still fall for it.
Financial technology engineer Babu reminded everyone on Twitter to pay attention to this counterfeit Curve, and tagged Curve Finance’s official Twitter account, urging everyone to remain vigilant and report suspicious Apps. This post was also retweeted by Curve’s official account, urging users to stay alert and avoid downloading applications from unknown sources.
