Cryptocurrency Gateway Transak Targeted by Phishing Attack Over 90000 User Data Breached

Transak stated on Twitter that this hacking attack was carried out through phishing techniques targeting their own employees, thus gaining access to login credentials. The hackers used these credentials to enter the third-party KYC provider system that Transak collaborates with, and obtained certain user identity-related information. The leaked data includes user names, dates of birth, identification documents (such as passports and driver’s licenses), and personal photos of users.
