Transak a leading cryptocurrency gateway falls victim to a sophisticated phishing attack resulting in the compromise of personal information of over 90000 users

Transak stated on Twitter that this hacking attack was carried out through the method of phishing against their own employees, thereby obtaining login credentials. The hackers used these credentials to access the third-party KYC supplier system that Transak collaborates with and obtain certain user identity and related information. The leaked data in this incident includes user names, dates of birth, identification documents (such as passports, driver’s licenses), and personal photos of the users.
