“Blockchain Genesis,” also known as Thailand Blockchain Week 2023, is now in its sixth consecutive year. This conference, themed “Building in Bear Market, Rising in Bull Market,” aims to track the latest trends in the blockchain field, particularly Bitcoin, Ethereum, and others. The conference serves as a gathering for project executives, representatives from the public sector, and national-level politicians to envision the future development of Thailand’s blockchain.
Mr. Prasert Chanthararuangthong, the Minister of Digital Economy and Society, emphasized the importance of blockchain technology in driving social and economic progress. He proposed that Thailand can greatly benefit from blockchain technology through increased efficiency, simplified processes, and reduced transaction costs. He urged the Thai people to familiarize themselves with and adapt to this technology in order to succeed in the global context.
Sanjay Popli, Co-founder and CEO of Cryptomind Group Holding Company Limited, explained this year’s conference theme. He pointed out that despite the challenges brought by the bear market, it also offers opportunities to purchase digital assets at low prices, preparing for future bull markets. He also mentioned the strong growth trends exhibited by Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency projects.
Thailand’s growth in the digital asset field is accelerating, indicating the country’s potential to become a cryptocurrency hub in Southeast Asia. Furthermore, the increase in trading accounts and trading value in Thailand, as well as the investments made by large enterprises and financial institutions in the crypto market, highlight this point.
