Mixing service FixFloat suspected of being hacked
According to a report from The Block, abnormal outflows of funds have occurred on the mixing service platform FixFloat, flowing into the following two addresses:
Address (0xFa085): 1,728 ETH ($4.85 million)
Address (bcad4e5): 409 bitcoins ($21.17 million)
Security firms Bitrace and PeckShield have both pointed out that the attackers have used another mixing service, eXch, to transfer the stolen ETH.
On February 17th, FixFloat responded to users, stating:
FixFloat has encountered some technical issues and has currently switched to maintenance mode. The exact time for recovery is still uncertain, but we are doing everything possible to expedite this process.
Previous reports have stated that security team PeckShield has recorded 2,023 hacking incidents, with over 600 major hacker attacks occurring last year, resulting in approximately $2.61 billion in losses.
According to the REKT Database, there have been 17 security incidents in the past month, with affected amounts reaching $193 million.
