MicroStrategy Twitter Account Hacked and Used to Promote Cryptocurrency (MSTR), Hackers Gain Approximately $440,000

Software development company and long-term Bitcoin holder MicroStrategy’s Twitter account appears to have been hacked. On the morning of the 26th, several phishing links for the release of the MSTR token were posted. Crypto detective ZachXBT pointed out that the hackers made off with approximately $440,000.

In the phishing announcement, MicroStrategy stated that it will issue Ethereum ERC20 tokens (MSTR), which will be integrated into the MicroStrategy ecosystem and serve as support for Bitcoin reserves.

“I certainly don’t want to blame the victims, but if you think that after Michael Saylor has been emphasizing famous statements like ‘There is no better asset’ and ‘There is no other choice’ for many years, MicroStrategy would still choose to launch an ETH token, then your thinking is truly unique.”
