Ether is the second largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization and the largest public chain platform in the world, with the most active developer community. In April last year, the first ETH Taipei Ethereum Developer Conference was held in Taipei, attracting thousands of developers from around the world to participate and exchange cutting-edge Ethereum technologies, receiving unanimous praise. To continue the success of last year, ETH Taipei 2024 will once again take place from March 21 to 24.

Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin will personally come to Taiwan to give a speech and share the latest developments and trends in Ethereum. Vitalik is one of the most influential blockchain technology leaders in the world, and his speech will be a highlight of this conference. At the same time, as the Dencun upgrade officially incorporates EIP-4844, which is crucial for the future of Layer 2, Vitalik will also discuss the progress and future of Ethereum network scalability with other Layer 2 technical leaders.
The event will last for four days, including two days of international symposiums and three days of hackathons.

The symposium will focus on hot topics such as ZK, DeFi, and Security, inviting experts and scholars from well-known teams such as Ethereum Foundation, Perpetual Protocol, Geth, Gnosis, and Dedaub to give speeches. The topics cover Ethereum upgrades, MEV, Layer2, DeFi, AA, information security, and other fields, and panel discussions will be arranged to allow industry elites to share insights and spark more ideas.
The hackathon will start on the evening of March 22, and a 24-hour Hacker House will be provided on-site. Developers need to complete their works on selected topics within 40 hours to compete for the rich prizes provided by different companies. The hackathon is free to sign up, and various workshops will be held during the hacking period, allowing developers to not only learn from each other but also have the opportunity to directly communicate with the industry. This year, there are also opportunities for job matching, where participants not only have the chance to earn prizes but also receive offers.
ETH Taipei event was jointly initiated by nine passionate developers, including Perpetual Protocol co-founder Feng Yanwen, imToken chief scientist Chen Changwu, Furucombo founder Zhu Xuanting, Diamond Protocol co-founder Anderson Chen, and Quantstamp developer relations responsible Li Songsheng.
ETH Taipei is also collaborating with many well-known companies, including Nuvo, XY Finance, Consensys, MintClub, Ora, BTSE, Lita, Zircuit, Harvest Finance, Dyson Finance, Term Structure, etc. They will set up booths on-site to introduce the latest blockchain products to developers and engage in exchanges.
