Failure of the Peregrine Lunar Mission, 2/3 of It Allows Musk to Challenge “To the Moon” Again with Dogecoin
The Peregrine I, carrying physical Bitcoin and Dogecoin, was successfully launched into space on January 8th by ULA’s rocket. It was originally scheduled to land on the moon on February 23rd, but it has now been reported that due to propellant leakage, the mission to land on the moon cannot be achieved. However, Elon Musk’s SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, funded by Dogecoin, is preparing for launch on February 3rd for the DOGE-1 lunar mission, once again challenging to take Dogecoin “To the Moon”.

Peregrine I unable to land on the moon due to propellant leakage
On February 3rd, Dogecoin will once again challenge “To the Moon”
Astrobotic
In unfortunate news released yesterday, the Peregrine I, carrying physical Bitcoin and Dogecoin, will no longer be able to land on the moon due to propellant leakage. The team is currently working hard to find ways to extend the lifespan of Peregrine I and continue to receive valuable data. The spacecraft has also transmitted the latest images from space. Is the light in the upper right corner from the Earth or a lens flare?

Astrobotic’s current assumption regarding the propulsion anomaly of Peregrine I is that the valve between the helium pressurant and oxidizer failed to reseal after being activated during the initialization process, resulting in a surge of high-pressure helium gas that exceeded the operating limit of the oxidizer tank, causing it to rupture. The team is currently downloading all available data from the lander to support this assessment and verifying the aerospace operation of components and software related to the next lunar lander mission, “Griffin”.
But for space mission enthusiasts, there is no need to worry. On February 3rd, 2024, Elon Musk’s SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will also launch the DOGE-1 and IM-1/Nova-C payloads (CLPS) from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA.
DOGE-1 Lunar Mission
Fully funded by Dogecoin, it is the first space mission funded by cryptocurrency. Musk confirmed this news as early as 2021. However, the mission has been repeatedly delayed, and the latest launch date is now set for February 3rd.
Let’s let Musk help Dogecoin truly go “To the Moon” next time!
