Failed Tax Evasion Attempt! Michael Saylor Settles Washington D.C. Tax Fraud Lawsuit for $40 Million

Michael Saylor, the founder of the American software company MicroStrategy, was charged by the Attorney General of the District of Columbia (also known as Washington D.C.) in August 2022, alleging that he had resided in the District for over 10 years without paying any income tax. MicroStrategy was also accused of conspiring to assist in tax evasion. According to CNBC, Michael Saylor and MicroStrategy have agreed to pay $40 million to settle this tax fraud lawsuit.
