Argentina demands voluntary declaration of domestic and overseas encrypted assets, eligible for a 5% reduced tax rate by the end of March.
According to a report by CoinDesk, the asset regularization program is part of Argentina’s proposed extensive economic and political reforms. Cryptocurrencies are one of the assets under the proposed regulatory regime, and regardless of their origin or location of holding, they must be actively declared to the government. Those who declare their cryptocurrency holdings before March 31 will enjoy a preferential tax rate of 5%, which will increase to 15% by November 30.
