Apple Secures Observer Status on OpenAI Board AAPL Achieves Historic High

Apple announced its artificial intelligence (AI) plans at the WWDC on 6/10, including the integration of OpenAI’s ChatGPT chatbot into its devices, and the incorporation of its new “Apple Intelligence” technology into its applications, including its virtual assistant, Siri. This integration will be added to iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia later this year. Apple also stated that it will add other third-party AI models in the future. According to previous reports, Apple did not pay to use the chatbot from OpenAI, suggesting a potential revenue-sharing partnership.
