Musk Refutes Bloomberg Report: I Have Never Discussed Cryptocurrencies with Trump

Bloomberg reported, citing anonymous sources, that Elon Musk and Donald Trump are discussing cryptocurrency policies, mainly because Trump has been mentioning Bitcoin and other digital assets more frequently during his campaign activities and sees it as a way to engage new voters.

The report states that entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who supports Trump, facilitated the meeting between Trump and Musk, but Ramaswamy’s representative declined to comment.

Biden Team Criticizes Collusion Between Government and Businesses
James Singer, a spokesperson for Biden’s campaign team, stated on Thursday:
Trump is selling out America in an attempt to stay in power and pay his legal fees, and billionaires like Musk are just beneficiaries who know that if they donate to Trump, he will cut their taxes but also cut middle-class social security and welfare.
Bloomberg notes that although Musk is the world’s third-richest person, he has not been enthusiastic about political donations. According to records from the Federal Election Commission, Musk’s political donations have been less than $1 million since 2009, and he has made no donations for this election.
Musk attended a fundraising event for Trump in March but stated after the event that he had no plans to donate to either Trump or Biden.

While I generally support transferring power from government to the people, and cryptocurrencies can do that, I’m pretty sure I never discussed cryptocurrencies with Trump.
