Preview of Jensen Huang’s Computex Keynote: GB300 Launching in Q3 2025, NVIDIA Establishing Headquarters in Beitou Shilin

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang Unveils New AI Strategy at Computex Taipei

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang announced the latest generation of AI technology at the Computex Taipei on May 19. Among the highlights, NVIDIA’s new AI system GB300 is set to launch in Q3 this year, along with a new computer system called NVLink Fusion that allows customers to “mix and match” processors and accelerators. Additionally, NVIDIA has formed an AI collaboration alliance with MediaTek, Qualcomm, and Fujitsu, emphasizing that Taiwan will be the core of future computer ecosystems, with NVIDIA’s headquarters located in Beitou, Shilin.

From the Middle East Back to Taiwan: Huang Promotes AI International Strategy

Having just concluded a Middle Eastern tour with U.S. President Trump, where he discussed AI collaboration projects with Saudi Arabia and the UAE, Huang quickly returned to Taiwan for the Computex Taipei.

At the opening, Huang directly pointed out Taiwan’s significant role in the global technology supply chain:

“When we want to create new markets, we have to start from here; Taiwan is the core of the future computer ecosystem.”

Introducing the Upgraded Grace Blackwell: New AI System GB300 Expected in Q3

During Computex, Huang first updated the timeline for NVIDIA’s flagship AI system, announcing that the next-generation GB300 system will be launched in the third quarter (Q3) of this year. This system is an upgrade to the current Grace Blackwell series, primarily aimed at large cloud service providers, offering faster and more stable computing capabilities for AI models.

Launch of NVLink Fusion: Allowing Customers to Mix and Match Processors

Previously, NVIDIA only offered data center computers composed of its own components, but this time they introduced NVLink Fusion, a new computer system that allows customers to “mix and match” processors and accelerators:

  • Utilizing NVIDIA’s CPU with other manufacturers’ AI accelerators
  • Or using other brands’ CPUs with NVIDIA’s accelerators

This represents NVIDIA providing customers with more flexibility in building their systems while retaining its key high-speed connection technology.

Collaboration with MediaTek, Marvell, and Qualcomm to Strengthen AI Chip Alliance

To further enhance NVIDIA’s AI ecosystem, Huang also announced a series of collaboration agreements:

  • MediaTek, Marvell, and Alchip will collaborate with NVIDIA to design AI-specific chips.
  • Qualcomm and Fujitsu will create processors compatible with NVIDIA’s accelerators.

These collaborations enable NVIDIA to further penetrate various AI application scenarios, reinforcing market leadership even with components not directly designed by them through collaborative design.

Beitou Shilin to Become NVIDIA’s Taiwan Headquarters

Addressing the ongoing speculation about the location of NVIDIA’s Taiwan headquarters, Huang humorously stated at the end of his speech:

“I’m not sure if it’s a good idea, as it’s a bit expensive, but we will set our headquarters in Beitou, Shilin!”

Transitioning from Chip Dominance to AI Leadership: Taiwan’s Technology Supply Chain Upgrade

In summary, Huang’s announcement not only marks an upgrade of NVIDIA’s products but also symbolizes a pivotal transformation of NVIDIA from a chip dominator to a global AI leader. This not only solidifies NVIDIA’s core position in data center computing power but also actively opens the door for collaboration, expanding its ecosystem, showcasing its ambition to evolve from a “hardware supplier” to an “AI infrastructure planner.”

The starting point of this strategic transformation begins in Taiwan. Whether in chip packaging, foundry, or AI computer assembly, the Taiwanese supply chain will play a more significant role, and inevitably, with NVIDIA’s leadership, it will usher in a substantial upgrade in industry status.
