Elon Musk Makes Grand Entrance in Cybercab at Teslas We Robot Event

Tesla (stock code TSLA) originally scheduled to hold the “We, Robot” event at 10 am in Los Angeles’ Warner Bros. studio on October 11th, Taiwan time, was delayed for nearly an hour before CEO Musk arrived at the venue in the first-ever unmanned taxi Cybercab.

Cybercab made a stunning debut, with the ability to accommodate 20 people and the launch timetable was also announced. Optimus, the humanoid robot, also made an appearance at the party.

Cybercab, which has no steering wheel or brakes, adopts automated unmanned driving. Priced at below $30,000, Musk optimistically estimates that it can be mass-produced before 2027, and emphasizes its advantages:

– Safety is 10 times higher than human driving
– It’s like a mobile lounge, turning commuting time into a golden period of personal enjoyment
– Cost is about $0.2 per mile, including taxes and other fees, approximately $0.3-0.4 per mile, while Musk pointed out that the average cost of a bus is $1 per mile
– It can automatically charge and clean
– When idle, the car can also go out to work and create passive income

Tesla also made its first public appearance of the Robovan, which can accommodate 20 passengers and has cargo transportation functions. Netizens unanimously believe that this car is suitable for operation at airports.

Musk also announced Tesla’s grand blueprint: next year, it will first launch the unsupervised FSD automatic driving function in Texas and California, and promote full unmanned driving for Model 3 and Model Y by 2026. Musk is optimistic that Cybercab can be launched and mass-produced in 2027.

Musk also shared the latest developments of Tesla’s humanoid robot Optimus. Many Optimus robots appeared on-site, performing hot dances and serving drinks as waiters, making the entire release event feel like a party.
