Trump Vows to End Encryption Enforcement War Advocates for Crypto Industry to Enter Florida
Former US President Trump continues to express strong support for the crypto industry, stating at a rally that in the future, a large number of crypto industries will be established in his main state of Florida.
Pledge to end Biden’s crypto war
At an event commemorating his 78th birthday last week, Trump mentioned:
In order to safeguard the future of the country and provide more job opportunities for young people, I will end Biden’s war on cryptocurrency. We will ensure the future of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin in the United States. They will stay here, and many crypto industries will be established in Florida.
Florida has the “lowest” crypto tax
In January, Florida ranked first in the “best” state ranking for cryptocurrency taxation, as Florida has no state income tax and is known for its crypto-friendly regulations. Florida also has a pilot program that allows businesses to pay state fees using various cryptocurrencies.
Trump also recently stated that he hopes all remaining unmined bitcoins will be mined by US companies. He believes that bitcoin mining may be the “last line of defense” against central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).
Fearless criminal prosecutions, Trump becomes more active
Despite being convicted in late May of 34 counts of falsifying business records, becoming the first US president in history to be convicted, Trump has remained active in various campaign activities afterwards.
At a fundraising event earlier this month, Trump also emphasized that he will be the “crypto president” and claimed that he will end Biden and SEC Chairman Gary Gensler’s crusade against cryptocurrencies.
The Biden campaign team took the opportunity to speak out on this issue, stating that Trump’s conviction highlights the threat he poses to democracy, and the only way to prevent Trump from returning to the White House is through voting in the presidential election.
