As ChatGPT continues to innovate, free users can access OpenAI’s flagship GPT-40 model, enhance responses through web content, access the GPT Store, and ask questions using uploaded files and photos. Users can also save chat preferences as “memories” and utilize advanced data analysis to analyze data from documents such as spreadsheets and PDFs.

Of course, there are limitations to the free version, such as the daily capacity limit of the GPT-40 model. Once users reach this limit, they will automatically (albeit temporarily) switch to the less advanced GPT-3.5 model.

ChatGPT Plus
The paid version used by regular users, ChatGPT Plus, has a monthly fee of $20.

ChatGPT Plus has a capacity five times higher than ChatGPT Free and allows for early access to updated tools, such as the OpenAI macOS client for ChatGPT.

Additionally, ChatGPT Plus subscribers can access upgraded data analysis features based on the GPT-40 model, allowing for interactive charts and tables to be created based on datasets. Users can directly upload files for analysis from Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive or their devices.

ChatGPT Team is suitable for small businesses or management organizations, providing multiple ChatGPT licenses and collaboration features. The monthly fee is $30 per user (monthly) or $25 per user (annual), with a maximum capacity of 149 users.

ChatGPT Team offers a dedicated workspace and management tools for team management. All users in the ChatGPT Team plan have access to the latest models from OpenAI and the aforementioned tools, allowing for analysis, document editing, and information extraction with ChatGPT. Additionally, ChatGPT Team allows team members to build and share custom applications based on OpenAI models (similar to applications in the GPT Store). These applications can be customized for specific use cases or departments, or adjusted based on the team’s data.

ChatGPT Enterprise
Enterprises with more than 149 users must choose ChatGPT Enterprise. OpenAI has not disclosed the price of ChatGPT Enterprise, but it is reported that the cost per user per month is around $60, with a minimum of 150 users and a 12-month contract.

ChatGPT Enterprise adds “enterprise-level” privacy and data analysis features, enhanced performance, and customization options on top of regular ChatGPT. It includes a dedicated workspace and management console for managing how employees within the organization use ChatGPT, including tools for single sign-on, domain verification, and integrated dashboards for displaying usage and engagement statistics.

Shared conversation templates provided as part of ChatGPT Enterprise allow users to create internal workflows and bots using ChatGPT, while OpenAI’s API platform allows companies to create fully customized ChatGPT-driven solutions as needed.

ChatGPT Enterprise customers also have access to priority models and product lines from OpenAI, including dedicated customer teams and training. They are eligible to sign commercial agreements with OpenAI, a requirement under US law for companies wishing to use tools like ChatGPT to process private health information.

This version of ChatGPT is specifically designed for university students, faculty, researchers, and campus teams. Pricing is not disclosed.

ChatGPT Edu is similar to ChatGPT Enterprise, with the difference being its support for SCIM, an open protocol for simplifying cloud identity and access management. OpenAI plans to introduce SCIM to ChatGPT Enterprise in the future. Like ChatGPT Enterprise, ChatGPT Edu customers can access data analysis tools, management controls, single sign-on, enhanced security, and the ability to build and share custom chatbots.

This solution provided by OpenAI for nonprofits offers discounted access to ChatGPT Team for eligible organizations.

Nonprofits can access ChatGPT Team at a price of $20 per user per month. Larger nonprofits can receive a 50% discount on ChatGPT Enterprise, equivalent to around $30 per user.

However, the eligibility requirements are quite strict. While nonprofits from around the world can apply, OpenAI currently does not accept applications from academic, medical, religious, or government institutions.
