Trump Vows to End Encryption Law Enforcement War Advocates for Cryptography Industry to Settle in Florida
Former US President Trump continues to express strong support for the cryptocurrency industry, stating at a rally that in the future, a large number of cryptocurrency industries will be established in his main state of Florida.
Vows to end Biden’s cryptocurrency war
At an event last week commemorating his 78th birthday, Trump mentioned:
“In order to protect the country’s future and provide more job opportunities for young people, I will end Biden’s war on cryptocurrencies. We will ensure the future of cryptocurrencies, like Bitcoin, in the United States. They will stay here, and many (cryptocurrency industries) will be established in Florida.”
Florida has the “lowest” cryptocurrency taxation
Florida ranked first in the “best” state ranking for cryptocurrency taxation in January, with no state income tax and known for its cryptocurrency-friendly regulations. Florida also has a pilot program that allows businesses to pay state fees using various cryptocurrencies.
Trump also stated recently that he hopes all remaining unmined bitcoins will be mined by American companies. He believes bitcoin mining may be the “last line of defense” against central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).
Fearless of criminal prosecution, Trump becomes more active
Despite being convicted in late May of 34 counts of falsifying business records, becoming the first US president in history to be convicted, Trump remains active in various campaign activities.
At a fundraising event earlier this month, Trump also emphasized that he will become the “cryptocurrency president” and claimed he will terminate Biden and SEC Chairman Gary Gensler’s crusade against cryptocurrencies.
Biden’s campaign team took the opportunity to speak out through this event, stating that Trump’s conviction highlights his threat to democracy, and the only way to prevent Trump from returning to the White House is through voting in the presidential election.
