According to South Korean media Naver, game company Nexon’s Web3 project, “MapleStory Universe,” has received a near $100 million funding.

Token Issuance and Service Launch Plan for MapleStory Universe
MapleStory Universe has raised 125 billion Korean won (approximately $96.24 million) to develop projects related to the MapleStory IP. This ecosystem consists of various elements, including the PC MMORPG “MapleStory N,” “MapleStory N World,” “MapleStory N SDK,” and “MapleStory N Mobile.” The company plans to utilize blockchain technology in the future to enhance the applicability of in-game items and strengthen the core fun elements of the game.
Specific information on the token issuance and service launch for MapleStory Universe has not yet been announced. Nexon representatives stated that the company plans to announce the relevant roadmap in the first half of 2024. This will serve as an important indicator of the future direction of MapleStory Universe.
