Analysts Optimistic about the Approval of “Ethereum Spot ETF” in May: Is the Focus Shifting towards ETH?

Quoting industry insiders, they all believe that the probability of an Ethereum spot ETF being approved in May of this year is quite high. While Ethereum “futures” ETFs have been launched in the fourth quarter of last year, the trading volume has not been active, and there has not been as much attention as when Bitcoin futures ETFs were launched.
Bloomberg ETF analyst: 70% chance of Ethereum spot ETF passing in May
Eric Balchunas pointed out that he cannot imagine a scenario where a Bitcoin spot ETF is approved but an Ethereum spot ETF is not.

He believes that regulatory agencies view BTC and ETH in a similar manner, so after the approval of a Bitcoin ETF, Ethereum will certainly follow suit. His information also indicates optimism for an Ethereum spot ETF.
Balchunas estimates a 70% likelihood of an Ethereum spot ETF being approved in May of this year. However, since the SEC has multiple ETFs with approval deadlines in May, the launch date may still be variable.
According to CoinMarketCap, after the approval of a Bitcoin spot ETF, ETH actually had a slightly higher increase in the 24-hour percentage change:

ETH: 8.49%
Research institution: Bullish on market focus on ETH
The co-founder of Reflexivity Research listed the approval deadlines for Ethereum ETFs, with VanEck, 21Shares & ARK, and Hashdex all having final dates in May.
He believes that although it may seem like no one is paying attention to this matter right now, and Gary Gensler has declared BTC as a “commodity” in an SEC announcement, people’s expectations for the approval of an Ethereum ETF may not be high. But he emphasizes his bullish expectations for ETH:
