TWEX, the first encrypted trading platform founded by a telecommunications company in Taiwan, will officially launch operations on May 22, 2025. TWEX is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Taiwan Mobile Co., Ltd., operating under the company FuSheng Digital. The platform specializes in virtual currency trading and is currently available only for invited customers to experience its services. How to Register for TWEX

According to the official website, the basic requirements for registering on TWEX include having a Republic of China (Taiwan) ID card, a Taiwan Mobile phone number, and a bank account. The following are the registration steps:

Prepare your ID card, then from the Taiwan Mobile APP homepage, click -> Smart Finance -> Select Taiwan Mobile Virtual Asset Exchange -> Enter the mobile number logged into the Taiwan Mobile APP -> Input the One Time Password (OTP) sent via SMS. If using mobile data, you can skip this screen -> Set a password, entering a self-defined password that is a combination of 8 to 16 characters of letters and numbers, and check to agree to the terms -> Set your email for OTP verification -> Input the OTP verification code sent to your email -> Complete member registration and initiate identity verification, at this point, you will need to prepare your ID card and a facial photo -> After completing identity verification, a manual review process will take 5 to 7 business days, during which you can start binding your bank account for verification.

Important Notes

Currently, TWEX is only open for registration to users with Republic of China (Taiwan) nationality who have a Taiwan Mobile phone number. Each email address can only register one account. Currently, only New Taiwan Dollar (NTD) deposits are available for purchasing Bitcoin and ETH. Transactions can only be conducted through online transfers and account balances. The platform does not support external transfers or exchanges of virtual currencies and only allows binding of bank accounts for ATM and internet transfers, with no provision for bank counter transfers. The upper limit for deposit amounts is set at 1.5 million New Taiwan Dollars.

FuSheng Digital Co., Ltd. was founded in October 2022, and TWEX operates as a subsidiary of Taiwan Mobile. The company’s main business includes virtual asset trading and fintech services. The chairman of TWEX is Lin Zhi-Chen, the General Manager of Taiwan Mobile, and the General Manager is Han Kun-Ju, the Vice President of New Technology Business Development at Taiwan Mobile. Lin Zhi-Chen founded AppWorks in 2009, serving as chairman and partner. AppWorks is one of the largest startup accelerators and most active venture capital institutions in Southeast Asia. Han Kun-Ju’s previous experience includes roles as a manager at Yongfeng Commercial Bank and China Trust Commercial Bank, General Manager at Pay International Information, Deputy General Manager at Internet Family International Information, and Chief Operating Officer at Pi Wallet.
