Internal Dispute in SUI DeFi: Scallop Accuses NAVI Founder of Using Shadow Accounts for FUD Against Competitors, NAVI Declines to Comment
Just as Sui DeFi regains attention due to Walrus’ high annual subsidies, a serious internal conflict has erupted within the ecosystem’s lending protocol.
The founder of NAVI Protocol, Elliscopef, has been accused of using a fake account to continuously disseminate FUD messages about the competing product Scallop in the Sui Chinese community. Chris, the founder of Scallop, directly pointed out that the account spreading the FUD messages, known as T, is actually Elliscopef himself. He expressed dissatisfaction, stating that while SuiLend is a builder on Sui, NAVI is a tumor on Sui. Chain News has reached out to NAVI for confirmation, but the official response is currently unavailable.

NAVI founder using fake accounts to spread FUD against competitors? Scallop condemns NAVI as a tumor on Sui.
Chat records show that a user named T has been continuously complaining about Scallop in the Sui Chinese community, implying that the official is about to dump the project. T even spread FUD about Scallop, claiming that the protocol has already changed hands.
Furthermore, T is also in the Suinami Riders group, one of the earliest developer groups on Sui. A further review of records reveals that it was Elliscopef who added T to the Suinami Riders group, indicating a significant level of interaction between Elliscopef and T. Subsequently, T added Rekkles J from the NAVI team to the group, and chat records also show that T had previously shared NAVI’s posts with Adeniyi, a co-founder of Sui, in the group.
The NAVI team does not acknowledge T as a team member.
All of the above evidence indicates a close relationship between T and the NAVI team. The founder of Scallop has also sought an explanation from Elliscopef on Twitter, but it appears he has already been blocked by Elliscopef. Moreover, leaked chat records show that the NAVI team is distancing itself from T.
